The Women's Theatre Festival is seeking short and long-form plays written by women and non-binary folx for a staged-reading marathon. We accept unproduced and already produced work. Subject matter can be anything, (it does not have to match our season theme) but play must be able to be cast with at least 50% women and/or non-binary folx and 50% people of color.
Occupy the Stage is a series of staged readings where all works are written by women and non-binary folx. We accept both short and long form plays from of a variety of genres. We insist on only two requirements; that the piece be castable with at least 50% women or non-binary people and at least 50% people of color. Please select only one play to submit per year.
Plays will be performed July 12-14 2019
The cut-off date for submission will be March 1st.
