Very, very obviously Turkey and Russia are seriously attempting to work out some sort of arrangement  regarding Idlib as talks continue for a second day. This latest round of talks  was preceded by other meetings and a phone call between Erdogan and Putin.

What will be the outcome of these latest talks? Guess, we'll have to wait and see.

Today, there is this report:  Turkey says discussing with Russia opening Syrian air space for drones: NTV

"Turkey and Russia are discussing opening Russian-controlled air space in Syria’s Idlib region for armed and unarmed drones, Turkish Defence Minister Hulusi Akar was quoted as saying on Thursday, but he added that problems over the issue persisted. Speaking to reporters in parliament, Akar said Ankara was “hopeful”

I’d seen reports regarding this topic last week- Turkey wants access to Syrian airspace that is under control of Russia and Syria, present time. Will this option be included in any deal that Turkey and Russia are working on at this time? Who knows? 

There maybe a number of reasons for this request:

1- The US and their Kurdish proxies would not be able to move westward.

2- The three parties could potentially coordinate and target the terror crowd more effectively

3-  If Turkey gains limited air access it could lead to further cooperation/ coordination  with Damascus? Of course it could lead to conflict, but, I’m hoping deconfliction protocols would be put in place and cooperation will ensue

4- This could also indicate there will be a refugee zone. I’ve mentioned that possibility, previously.

"The two delegations discussed the latest developments in Syria in a three-and-a-half-hour meeting in Ankara Thursday.
The Turkish delegation, led by Deputy Foreign Minister Sedat Önal, included officials from the Defense Ministry, the General Staff and the National Intelligence Organization (MİT).

Meanwhile, the Russian delegation was headed by the Presidential Envoy for Syria Sergey Vershinin and Special Envoy for Syria Alexander Lavrentiev.

“In the meeting, the situation in Idlib was discussed to the smallest detail. Turkey has emphasized the importance of proper implementation of the Sochi deal to prevent a mass influx and a humanitarian disaster,” the statement added."

"ANKARA, February 26. /TASS/. Russian-Turkish consultations on the situation in Syria’s Idlib finished on Wednesday in Ankara to be continued on February 27, Anadolu Agency reported.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said earlier he hoped a lasting ceasefire could be reached in Idlib as a result of the talks between Ankara and Moscow.

The situation in Idlib deteriorated dramatically in early February after the Russian and Turkish taskforces had made another attempt to enforce a ceasefire. Terrorists only intensified their attacks instead, killing Russian and Turkish military specialists. The Turkish president said on Wednesday that Ankara was prepared to use all it combat might in case of an operation in Idlib. In his words, the beginning of another military operation in Idlib was "just a matter of time."

On February 8 and 10, Ankara hosted two rounds of talks between the Russian and Turkish officials on the situation in Idlib. Two more rounds were held in Moscow on February 17 and 18, also on the situation in Idlib

As we should have read above contact between Russia and Turkey has been consistent despite whatever bovine excrement has been stinkin' up the internet.

Meanwhile the US occupation forces have just brought in more equipment to their proxies in Quamishli- via Northern Iraq aka PKK territory, which is how arms of all sorts and lots of them have flowed into Syria for years and years now. Much to Syrian & Turkish dismay!

Hasaka, SANA- US occupation forces sent a new convoy loaded with logistic equipment and military armored vehicles to Qamishli city in Hasaka countryside , in a new violation of international laws.

Local sources in al-Ya’roubiyah area told SANA reporter that 11 trucks transporting logistic equipment and armored vehicles entered on Wednesday the Syrian territory coming from northern Iraq via al-Walid illegitimate crossing, and headed for Qamishli to fortify the occupation’s positions in oil- producing areas in the Syrian al-Jazira area

Example: there are now claims that Russia killed 22 Turkish soldiers- Disinfohedge, again.
Is there any truth to this report at all? Well, I don't know. What I do know is Zero Hedge is citing "journalist" Lindsey Snell

That takes the credibility factor down quite a few notches in my book. Considering Lindsey Snell is for all intents and purposes an American operative, likely affiliated with the CIA, pretending to be a journalist. Lindsey and her husband seemed to have some connection to the attempted take down of Erdogan.  Long time readers here may recall her bogus claim of abduction and her burka wearing /kitten days? If you don't recall her "plight"

Sadly, this isn't the first time Zero Hedge presents this person and her 'reporting' as credible. 
Me? I'll wait for something better.

What else do I know? None of these "reports" have been verified. Not a one!

 If manpads are being used to shoot at Russian planes how do I know it's not Kurdish forces?

How do we know that coalition planes didn't bomb Turkish forces rather then Russian planes? 
If any Turkish forces were really bombed?   It's possible that attempts are being made to get Russia and Turkey fighting.  Has to be considered because that wouldn't be a first.

Still, I hope for resolution through diplomacy. For so many reasons.  And will await better information.
