Absolutely! Yes, it is! A point that's been made over and over and over again here. When the main stream and alt media are frenzied with blood lust at the prospect of a falling out, the hope here has been for diplomacy. For so many reasons.
Three recent posts broaching the idea of a godsend to the US : Russia/Turkey Planning New Talks on Idlib- Joint Patrols Continue & US Driving Wedge Between Turkey & Russia OR Idlib Media Coverage Hyper Inflated To Prep For US Intervention In Syria? Before that :Saturday, February 15, 2020 Intense Battles For the Mind Are Raging! Turkish/ Russian Dissolution or Adapting to Changing Realities?
"The empire's opinion makers are positively drooling at the prospect of a Russian/Turkish falling out. They want it so bad their willing to fabricate a reality that doesn't exist at this time. Imagining and presenting all sorts of scenarios to manage our minds."
Here, at PFYT, we're hoping Turkey and Russia keep it together and settle Syria in the manner that has been written about for years. With an eye to keeping Greater Kurdistan aka Israel 2.0, and the further death and destruction that will bring, at bay.The so called alt anti imperial media doesn't promote the idea of Russia and Turkey keeping it together, with cooperation returning eventually, to Ankara and Damascus. Enabling Syria to rebuild. Wanting Syria, Turkey and Iran to be good neighbours. Which for the most part they had been, until 2011. The alleged alt media. like their main stream counterparts, promote the idea of increased warfare. Cause it's good for business. Honestly "alt media" hasn't struck me as alternative (not the same as another or each other; unlike in nature, form, or quality) for a very, very long time.

Whether a hot war is on the table or not, the current situation is almost ripe for the United States foreign policy establishment, which has been dreaming of putting Russia and Turkey on a collision course for a while now. If you doubt this, you need only look to this final paragraph of a recent Guardian article:Same as the so called alternative media- they've got Russia and Turkey clashing endlessly despite the FACT there has been lots of cooperation. Oh well, why bother with fact when one can push fancy?
“Kay Bailey Hutchison, the US ambassador to Nato, said Thursday’s events should show Turkey “who is their reliable partner and who isn’t” and prompt it to drop its purchase of a major Russian missile defence system, which Washington says threatens the western alliance.” [emphasis added]
The US has been seriously troubled by Turkey’s move to procure Russia’s S-400 missile system. Washington is also concerned by Turkey’s desire to join the China-Russia dominated Shanghai Co-operation Organisation (SCO), which could see Turkey in an alliance with not only Russia and China, but Iran as well."It's not just S-400's or the SCO. It's pipelines. Nuclear power. Trade. Turkey trading with Iran and Russia, both.
The US is willing to back Turkey into a corner in which it finds itself confronting Russia, with or without the full support of the NATO alliance, if it means that what was looking like a budding fruitful relationship between Ankara and Moscow will fall completely apart.Oh, gosh, who would want that? What parties would want Ankara and Moscow at odds?
"The divide-and-conquer strategy of the American empire is still alive and well. Given the risk of a heightened conflict involving a NATO member who holds a significant stock of US nukes, one can only hope that cooler heads will prevail and avert the ignition of such a regional powder keg."Divide and conquer...
