Now accepting new play submission for the second annual Rogue Theater Festival! We are looking for original works by emerging playwrights and encourage anyone and everyone who feels they have something to say to submit their story. Rogue Theater Festival believes in equal opportunity for all.
Festival Details:
Performances: August 20-23 (each show will have 1 performance)
Tech Rehearsal: August 17-20 (each show will have 1 tech rehearsal slot)
Location: 13th St. Repertory Theater (50 W. 13th St. Manhattan)
Participants Will Receive:
- Theater space at 13th St. Rep for one performance over the weekend
- Theater space for one tech rehearsal per piece the days beforehand
- Professional Stage Manager to run Lighting and Sound
- Box Office Manager and House Manager
- Professional Assistant Stage Manager to run backstage
- Marketing Services for the festival
- Postcards and Posters
- Use of the theaters various set pieces
- FREE professionally recorded video of your show
- 25% of box office sales for your individual show
Entrance Requirements:
Length: 10 minutes to 1 hour long with no intermission
It may be a play, musical, comedy/clowning, burlesque, one person or dance based show. If you have something else we’d be thrilled to hear from you too! Please reach out!
It must be an original work but having been performed before is fine
Tickets Sold Requirements:
(10- 30 mins) - Must sell 15 Tickets at $15 each per show.
(30- 60 mins) - Must sell 20 tickets at $20 each.
You keep 25% of all box office sales from your individual show
*If the required amount of tickets are not sold the producer must buyout the remaining tickets and Rogue Theater Festival keeps all proceeds from ticket sales

Please submit your piece (pdf attachment please) to Roguetheaterfestival@gmail.com care of Allison & Kerielle. The deadline for all submissions is Friday, May 1st. We will be reviewing all submissions and contacting future participants by or before Monday, June 1st.
If selected, there will be a one-time participation fee. If submitted prior to April 1st the fee is $75. If submitted from April 1st to May 1st the fee is $100 (non-refundable). If selected to participate you will receive a confirmation and welcome aboard email from us complete with:
- Tech date and time
- Performance date and time
- A contract confirming your committed participation and all specific details and requirements
- Instructions on how to pay the $75 or $100 participation fee (non-refundable)
*All participants are fully responsible for producing their own plays. This includes covering all costs of production (e.g. rehearsal space, transportation fees, salaries, marketing, etc.).
