Instead of a traditional judging panel, we've decided to give the power to the actors who will actually use these monologues. 9 actors will select from the monologues you submit and record their favorite monologue to be posted on our YouTube, Instagram and Facebook Pages.
Who are you writing for? Each Sunday from May 31-June 14 we will post the next group of actors looking for monologues and you can watch their video on our Instagram or Facebook page @bandbtheatre.

Actors are looking for 1-2 minute monologues. Each actor has different needs so be sure to watch their video to see what they're looking for.
To submit, please email your 1-2 minute monologue in the body of the email to BlackandBrownTheatre@gmail.com and if you are writing for a specific actor from our roster, please include their name in the subject line. If your monologue is chosen, we will need the name you would like to be credited as for our social media channels. Due to our limited staff, we will not be sending out rejection emails, but the actors will send out congratulation emails to those selected. You may submit as many monologues for as many actors as you'd like and you can resubmit a monologue ie: If you submit a monologue for Maurizio in week 1, you can resubmit it for Jillian in week 2 if you feel they both might like it. You may submit monologues that have already been produced, but they must be 100% original and your own material.
Monologues are due Sundays June 7-June 21 at 3pm EST depending which actors you are submitting monologues for. Please note actors will read monologues as soon as you send them so send early if you want to be read first. Each week's deadline will be announced on Black and Brown Theatre's Facebook and Instagram Pages.
