Wanna write an original monologue for one of the actors from Black and Brown Theatre’s upcoming show “Superheroes in Disguise”? Please follow all of the directions below. Black and Brown Theatre is excited to introduce the newest actors for Black and Brown Theatre’s “All the Web’s a Stage”, a monologue series that gives the selection power to the actors! You can write an original monologue for any of the actors and they’ll pick their favorite to perform and record.
Here’s how:
1. Follow @bandbtheatre on Instagram to watch all 5 videos from the actors.
2. Listen to what the actors are looking for in a monologue to get inspiration.
3. Send an email to blackandbrowntheatre@gmail.com with the name of the actor and “All the Web’s a Stage” in the subject line along with your original 1 minute monologue in the body of the email no later than May 16, 2021.
Actors will pick their favorite to record and perform by May 23, 2021. The selected monologues will be posted to Black and Brown Theatre’s social media. Make sure to use the theme “superheroes” however you interpret that!
Competition is open to writers of all ethnicities and writers may reside anywhere in the world.
Submissions that do not meet all of the guidelines above may not be considered so please reread them carefully.
