July is just around the corner! We have classes starting as early as next week at Primary Stages ESPA that are still open for enrollment! Here are just some of the classes in our lineup of opportunities in the writing department:

Fundamentals of Playwriting - STARTS JUNE 28!

Instructor: Dennis A. Allen II (Writer and Director, Atlantic Theater Co, National Black Theatre)

Build a toolbox of the fundamentals, so your plays can be built on a strong foundation. Complete writing exercises, writing in and exploring multiple genres and styles (comedy, surrealism, melodrama...) to gain an understanding of the form and generate ideas for material.

The Business of Theater - STARTS JULY 1!

Instructor: John Gould Rubin (Director, Turn Me Loose Off-Broadway)

This 5-week class is for theater artists of any discipline to learn about theater as a business in order to produce your own work and better understand the priorities for your work no matter your role within a production.

Fast First Draft - STARTS JULY 14!

Instructor: Lia Romeo (Writer, 4-time Kilroy's List writer)

Kickstart your creativity to swiftly and decisively embark on a first draft of a new play. Propelled forward by page-generating exercises and unencumbered by extensive critique, you will start to develop a new play—either a one-act or a full-length—and have another project ready for continued writing and future development.
