What's next? Are they going to tell us not to watch old John Wayne movies?

Meanwhile, the first Alt Right athlete appears to be a tennis player. The Alt Right has embraced Milo Yiannopoulos, Jack Donovan, James O'Meara and Chelsea Manning. The symbol of the Alt Right is a cartoon frog who represents every attic-dwelling male loser who couldn't get laid if he walked into a brothel with a suitcase full of C-notes. Roger Stone -- fashion expert, Roy Cohn acolyte, weenie -- is both Trump's best friend and an Alt Right diva.

Even Alex Jones fits the pattern. His voice may be gravelly, but his flamboyance is undeniable. In my generation, we learned about the Ways of Manliness from Joel MacCrae and Randolph Scott. Alex Jones ain't that. There's nothing masculine about hyperbolic outbursts of extreme emotion and screeching irrationality. He may be the first male to suffer from PMS.

Lose the frog, my Alt Right friends: You need a new symbol. I suggest the pansy. To be specific: A stylized pansy known as the fleur-de-pensee. A hundred or so years ago, this device was occasionally used as a symbol for atheism or freethinking, an association which nobody now recalls. Besides, all sorts of symbols have been re-purposed over the years. It looks a bit swastika-esque, dunnit?
