WTF accepts submissions on an ongoing basis. We are interested in both full-length and short pieces, published or unpublished, on any theme. Submissions must meet the following requirements:
1. Playwrights must identify as female or non-binary. No male authors, no exceptions.
2. Cast makeup must be 50% women or higher.
3. At least 50% of the characters must be open to actors who are people of color.
Email your submission to submissions@womenstheatrefestival.com. In the subject line, simply state your name and the title of your play. In the body of the email, include a brief synopsis, character breakdown, technical requirements, and attach a pdf of your script. All submissions will be read and responded to.
