Avenatti has revealed the name of his client:

Basically, she says that she was raped.

She says that this crime occurred after someone slipped "Quaaludes or something similar" into her drink. She also says that there are individuals who can verify her story.

This is the most serious allegation against Brett Kavanaugh that anyone has levied so far.

This declaration answers the question I raised in a previous post: Avenatti does indeed have a triable case. I'm not sure that he can win, because I don't know if he can prove that the drink was, in fact, drugged. The insecurity on this point explains the wording of his original questions. Also, if she was drugged, then how can she be so certain that Kavanaugh was among the rapists?

Whatever you may think of Michael Avenatti's absurd presidential ambitions, he has introduced us to a very important witness. Of course, many will make "blame the victim" arguments against Swetnick. Example: "If she knew what was going on at these parties, why did she keep going to them?" But any argument that she gave consent cannot be reconciled with Kavanaugh's claimed virginity.

Update: Kavanaugh has responded, claiming that he knows nothing about this woman. He calls the allegations "from the Twilight Zone."

On a related note: Corroborating witnesses have come forward to back Christine Blasey Ford's story. I think we can now state conclusively that her claim against Kavanaugh is not a recent concoction.

This article explains why Trump is so intent on putting Kavanaugh on the Supreme Court, even though any other president would have changed horses by this point. The crux of the matter has noting to do with issues like abortion; it's all about Russiagate and Trump's instinct for self-preservation.
