Shellscrape Theatre Company seeks New Play Submissions for our upcoming Virtual Play Reading. Our goal for this virtual production is to assist the development of an unproduced work with an emerging playwright. Through this we hope to be able to provide logistical support, facilitate casting and provide exposure to our audience base.
The selected work will be staged virtually to be presented to a live audience in March of 2021 and a stipend of $100 will be paid to the playwright.
Submission Guidelines:
Must be previously unproduced
Stories from historically unheard perspectives including BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ are strongly encouraged
Maximum of 4 actors (doubling allowed if used to further the story)
Comedies, Dramas and Musicals welcome!
Please clearly label your submission email as follows, "Play Submission, Last Name"
Interested parties should email their selected work to shellscrapetheatre@gmail.com no later than February 12th. Unfortunately, any pieces received after this date and that do not adhere to the above guidelines will not be considered.
