New Normal Rep is committed to presenting new and underproduced plays that explore the historical, cultural, and psychological forces that have helped to shape life in America and beyond in the 21st Century. Our 2021 season has been finalized, but we will soon be offering a developmental play reading series called The NNR INCUBATOR to continue to foster relationships with a diverse group of playwrights and to possibly source new material for future seasons.

PLAYWRIGHTS:

To submit your play to be considered for THE NNR INCUBATOR, please adhere to the following guidelines. PLEASE NOTE that in the interest of giving fair consideration to all applicants, only submissions that follow all prescribed guidelines will be read and considered. Only ONE play per playwright should be submitted.

​Please submit ONLY the following materials:

The playwright's name, contact information and a brief bio

A brief, one paragraph synopsis of your full-length play

A cast breakdown

A brief history of the play's previous developmental and/or production history, along with an explanation of why the play would be a good fit for New Normal Rep

EITHER the first 10 pages of the script OR the 10 pages that best represent the play as a PDF

Unsolicited full manuscripts cannot be accepted or read at this phase of the process. If your submission materials indicate that your play might be right for THE NNR INCUBATOR, our literary committee will be in touch directly to specifically request further materials.
