SUBMISSION FORM
Draft One is a new play festival designed with development in mind. Plays will be chosen from our pool of submissions and assigned a dramaturg, who will have approximately one month to serve as a resource for playwrights revising their respective scripts - you will then have the opportunity to resubmit your new drafts to be chosen for a staged reading in our summer festival.
In using this structure, DTA hopes to not only provide early-career artists with the resources to kickstart their work but to foster meaningful and long lasting connections between the next generation of artists.
DATES
- March 20th: Submissions are due no later than midnight
- April 1st: Semi-Finalists will be announced & playwrights will be paired with dramaturgs
- May 15th: New script drafts are due no later than midnight
- May 21st: Plays chosen for the summer festival announced & assigned teams
- June 11/12th: Draft One festival, more details TBD
