ONEJARI Arts Crafts & Music is happy to announce their second ENCORE Theatre playwriting competition. 

We could not hold this competition last year due to pandemic and sad demise of our creative director Ashok.

However, to encourage creativity and to continue the activity started by Ashok, we are inviting talented playwriters to submit their work. We will be accepting applications in three categories:

• Ten-minute plays
• Thirty minute plays
• Full-length plays.

Plays may be written on any subject in English, Hindi or Marathi. 

• Winning Ten-minute plays will be staged during an evening of Encore Theater.
Please Note - Last years winners plays will be staged on May 28, 2022

• Winning Thirty minute and Full-length plays will be produced by ONEJARI Arts Crafts & Music or by invited Theater Institutes, to be staged during an Encore Theater Festival.
Prizes will be made possible through the generosity of ONEJARI Arts Crafts & Music

Submission details:

1. Entries containing all content are welcome, but please note that preference will be given to those that would be appropriate for most audiences and can be staged. 
2. Entries must be received by the deadline to be considered. 
3. All entries are final, but playwrights will have the opportunity for feedback and revision if selected as winners. 
4. Entries will be judged by a panel of judges. 
5. The winners will be notified by email and announced publicly. 
6. Please be sure to submit 

• Your Name
• Your Email
• The title of your work
• Duration of your play
• Only original work that has not been previously staged will be permitted to participate
