938collective is launching our inaugural Short Play Festival! And we want YOU involved.

We’re looking for new 10-20 minute plays in the early stages of development, something completely new, or a little snippet of a larger project you would like others to be involved in! The submission deadline is Friday, March 3rd.

Our goal is to create a 2 month process of writer’s workshops, rehearsals, and a weekend of performances to unite writers, directors, actors, and audience in the community in a celebration of collaboration and artistic development!

Our festival’s guiding theme? exhibitionism.

We encourage you to consider all kinds of exhibitionism. Sexual exhibitionism, museums, art, watching people from windows, being watched from windows, some sort of zoo situation! Whatever exhibiting means to you!

And in the spirit of exhibitions, we encourage you to submit works that attract wanted (or maybe unwanted) attention to yourself as a writer.
